Browband Size

To determine the correct Ribbons Browband size to order, firstly ensure that your current browband fits your horse correctly.  Make sure that it is not too tight and is not pulling the bridle headpiece onto the back of the ears.  You should be able to fit two fingers flat against the head underneath the browband without pulling the bridle forwards or squishing your fingers.

Now measure the browband flat against a tape as shown below (rounding up as necessary).  This browband is 15.5".

How to measure a horse browband

Ribbons browbands will look best and sit more upright when purchased in a slightly larger size than the regular leather browbands.  In the example above, a 16" would be recommended.

Additionally, if you plan to use your new browband with an ear bonnet, you will need to add at least another half inch to the size again.

Please note that the 'Size' label provided below is a guide to a likley fit but should be considered secondary to the measured length.
